As Senior Brand and Content Exec at the RLA I developed many campaigns, using my expertise across social media, content marketing, design and art direction.
I created and have since chaired the Content Strategy Team, a group of 10-20 people (at different times) bringing together all departments and management levels. This system has helped eliminate silos within the organisation and has ensured a coherence and consistency of message within various Policy, PR and Marketing objectives across an expanding range of channels.
I also led a major rebrand, encompassing visual identity, website design and UX for the organisation replacing an identity that had lasted for over 20 years and was received by over 35,000 members.
I developed the PEARL brand alongside the RLA’s Senior Researcher, Dr Tom Simcock. Within its first year in existence PEARL research was featured on the front page of the Times, in Parliament and by the Mayor of London.
PEARL carried out the most successful non-governmental survey of landlords in British history getting over 5000 responses. It has since gone on to break that record itself by getting over 6000.
In late 2018 the RLA launched its own Training Academy to evolve and develop the classroom and elearning offerings.
I lead the brand development, including visual identity and tone, website creation, social media content campaign and print advertising campaign.
The Residential Property investor is a major UK magazine for landlords and letting agents.
Future Renting was a brand I developed to host high-level, thought-leadership conferences about the Private Rented Sector.
With its first year it had hosted Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham and AM Rebecca Evans, with events in Manchester, London and Cardiff.
Outside of my career in marketing and advertising I’ve been lucky enough to write for the one of the UK’s largest music magazines DIY for nearly a decade.
I’ve covered everything from basements to stadiums and even travelled internationally. Here I share a few of my favourites, from the print magazine and the website.
